Day 02: Temple tour in Kathmandu,
Today after breakfast, we start a guided tour to visit three different temples of Kathmandu valley, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath. The Pashupatinath is the most important Hindu temple in the country along with the Aryaghat or Funeral Site near the Bagmati River. The Buddhists shrine of Boudhanath is one of the largest Stupas in the world, and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage site and the popular tourist destinations in Kathmandu. Swayambhunath meaning the "the self-existent" is one of the oldest Buddhist Stupas in the world. The stupa is also famous for being on the hilltop and is popular among the foreigners as the “Monkey Temple” owing to the large number of monkey population residing in the area.CH

Day 03: Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changu Narayan Temple,
After breakfast, we begin another day’s sightseeing in Bhaktapur. It’s a short drive to the old city of Bhaktapur, a typical Newari town in the valley and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the mediaeval period, it was one of the powerful valley capitals. Still a functioning town, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a superb place to spend few hours visiting different Pagoda style temples, monuments, museum and different streets including Pottery – this is in the East as people imagine it. It is still a very fascinating town in the valley. After that, it’s an interesting short drive to the oldest known temple in Nepal, Changu Narayan. This is the temple for Lord Vishnu, the second most important Hindu God in the country. This is an exquisite example of age-old Nepalese artistry and ingenuity.CH

Day 04: Drive to Budhanilkantha and trek to Mulkharka (1,768m),
Today, we drive towards north to another Vishnu temple at Budhanilkantha. Inside the temple complex, we can view the 5-meter long stone-carved sleeping Vishnu image, believed to have been created in the 7th or 8th century. After that, we drive little further and then set off walking fairly level inside Shivapuri National Park. It’s about 4-5 hours walk on the rough road most of the time to Mulkharka village. BL,

Day 05: Trek to Chisapani (2,200m),
After breakfast, we start walking steeply up hill on the stone steps through cultivated fields and little villages. We continue on climbing through trees and trek up towards the East Ridge to the top of Shivapuri forest. From here on a clear day, we can enjoy the view of many beautiful mountains and different landscape. We trek down to Chisapani. Stay in Chisapani tonight. BL,

Day 06: Trek to Nagarkot (2,156m),
Our hiking destination is Nagarkot today. After having breakfast, we head towards the Southeast direction following the rough road through woods. Sometime we follow switch-backing trail which drops steeply down and up through terraces and beautiful local villages all the way to the top of the ridge at Nagarkot. Today's hike is rather longer with majestic mountain views offered throughout the day. We will enjoy the magnificent Sunset and Sunrise views on the eastern Himalaya in distance from Nagarkot. Nagarkot itself is a popular among urban people of Kathmandu as a nearby destination to spend weekends enjoying panoramic views of many Himalayan ranges including the 8,848 meters highest peak of the world Mt. Everest. We may go to bed early today, as we also need to catch up tomorrow's sunrise view on the mountains. SH,

Day 07: Trek to Dhulikhel (2,100m),
We wake up early to see sunrise on the snowy peaks of the eastern Himalayan ranges including Mt. Everest. After breakfast, we follow the road passing through pine forest and many farmlands. We continue along the ridge for a while and then the trail goes steeply down and up couple of times through fields all the way to Dhulikhel, the administrative center of Kavre district and the eastern gate of Kathmandu valley. This town is divided into new and old part. The new part of the town lies on the ridge, you will see mainly Hotels and Restaurants but old part of the town is still very fascinating with Newari culture and tradition. SH,

Day 08: Trek to Namo Buddha (1,982m),
Leaving Dhulikhel today, we start climbing up to Kali temple and continue through rhododendron and pine forest. After doing couple of hours walking then drop down through the village of Kavre and past a number of local village inns. It then climbs again through pine trees past Phulbari and up and down a couple of more hills before reaching to Namo Buddha. This is a scared Buddhist place where Lord Buddha saved the life of a tigress dying from hunger. We can have a thrilling view of mountains, valleys, rolling hills and touch of Newari culture. BL,

Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu,
After breakfast, we will have time to explore this beautiful place on the surrounding hills of Kathmandu valley and then we will pick up our transport drive through Banepa via Bhaktapur to Kathmandu arriving in the late afternoon. CH,
