Nepal has incredible paragliding sites to take pictures, to enjoy the freedom of flying like a bird, and to view the alluring magic of Himalayan range, beautiful valleys and narrow gorges. Godawari of Kathmandu valley and Pokhara- the lakeside town is the best site for paragliding in the world. Paragliding in Pokhara is full of magnetic scenery on earth such as beautiful lakes, spectacular peaks, stunning overhead view of the city, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle. The thrill commences from Sarangkot, the capital site of paragliding in Pokhara. The hill station itself is famous for amazing sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. The adventure reaches apex as the gliding commences amid of breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Annapurna range, Hiunchuli, Mt. Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail), beautiful landscape and serene view of Phewa Lake.

  • Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu.

    Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

    Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing.

    Your sightseeing visits to the old city of Bhaktapur, a typical Newari town in the valley and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the mediaeval period, it was one of the powerful valley capitals. Still a functioning town, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a superb place to spend few hours visiting different Pagoda style temples, monuments, museum and different streets including Poetry- this is in the East as people imagine it. It is still a very fascinating town in the valley.

    You may wish to visit the Durbar Square area of Kathmandu, Swoyambhunath- the monkey temple, Bodhnath or Pashupatinath in the afternoon.

    Day 03: Drive to paragliding spot to Godawari.

    Paragliding in Kathmandu - is now a reality. 20-30 min. flight at an altitude of 2100m above sea level in Godawari with 15 years experienced Korean & Thai pilots.

    Despite the difficulty of the situation, we experienced something very excitement and beautiful. Our take off place is located in Chapakharka, Godawari. “Chapakharka”, is the beautiful take off place which is at the height of 2100m from the sea level. From this place one can have the panorama view of the beautiful mountain ranges and stunning view of the Kathmandu valley. Once you take off you’ll have an experience of being like a bird and the feeling of freedom that you have never felt before and enjoy the view as from the eye of a bird.

    Day 04: Another day paragliding;

    Point to point take off and landing in the morning. In the afternoon, you will have an exciting bird watching tour and home stay nearby at one of the local village. You will enjoy with locals and their typical hospitality. 

    Day 05: Drive to Pokhara

    It’s about 5/7 hrs scenic drive following Prithivi high way to Pokhara. You will have some leisurely time in Pokhara this afternoon. 

    Day 06: Drive to Sarangkot
    Jeep drive to Sarangkot hill (1500 m) for a flight and a small cross. Great views of the Dhaulagiri, Manasalu, lamjung, Annapurnas and the Machhapuchare.

    Day 07: Pokhara and Madre dunga
    Briefing and cross-country around Pokhara.

    Day 08: Pokhara to Diki Danga Expedition
    Cross country flight from Pokhara to the first hill of Annapurna’s.

    Day 09: Pokhara - Kathmandu

    In the morning, transfer to Kathmandu. Afternoon at leisure in Kathmandu.

    Day 10: Depart Kathmandu

    You’ll be transferred to the airport for the flight back home.

TAAN Pokhara Chapter Explored New Trail
A team of Trekking Agencies'' Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association Pokhara has explored a new trekking trail that starts from Kushma of Parbat and ends at Baskharka of Myagdi district.

A 17-member team led by Narayan Sapkota, former president of TAAN Pokhara, started the exploration with a drive to Kushma from Pokhara. From Kushma, the walk started toward Banau (2150 meters) through Ghumti, Bagaicha, Bhatebari, Dhakdhake and Sidhali
